Kayyis is a father of three. An alumnus of a renowned Islamic boarding school in West Java. He Completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, concentrating on Islamic Banking and Finance Management, finishing in just three years. His thesis focused on “Risk and Return in Islamic Stocks” on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
After graduating, he worked in a futures brokerage firm for 1.5 years, where he honed his financial literacy and developed a solid foundation in market movement analysis. His daily routine involved studying technical, fundamental, and economic news from both domestic and international sources.
Later, he joined a research and training institution specializing in Islamic finance. He also completed an Officer Development Program (ODP) at a bank, graduating as the second-highest achiever in his cohort, which led him to a role at the bank’s Head Office in the Islamic Business Division.
As a Product and Program Development Specialist, Kayyis developed a comprehensive approach, not only designing products and programs that were marketable and straightforward but also ensuring operational prudence and risk mitigation, drawing on his certified expertise in risk management. This position allowed him to embody the principle of “build the right method, build the method right.”
After nine years in this role, two months following his promotion to Assistant Vice President (AVP), he decided to resign and fully dedicate himself to developing his venture, cuanBungkus.com.
